I’m not one to go nuts about the latest food trends and fads. I don’t juice and think engaging in a cleanse would indicate that I have given up my love of living.
Why? Several reasons.
First, I need more protein, particularly in the morning. My favorite breakfasts are either high in carbs like cereal or bagels, or high in fat like, well, eggs and bacon on bagels.
I’m not a morning person AT ALL so the notion of having breakfast waiting for me in the fridge is very appealing.
Finally, I like oatmeal so if I can make a healthier version, cool.
But WTF are chia seeds? Where do they come from and what do they taste like?
I can google, of course, but would love for you to chime in and tell me more.
