It was a beautiful – and gluttonous – weekend in NYC. After a work trip that took up most of my week, I was thrilled to get home.
Molly visited. It was so fun to meet her! We ate our way through parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
On Friday, we went big, starting with drinks at the Bowery Hotel. Our two bartenders were most charming.
Then we had dinner at Il Buco Vineria followed by drinks at Peel’s. All very fun.
On Saturday, I spent some time in the dentist’s chair thanks to an incident with some…bread. But that’s a boring story.
Post dentist, it was [almost] time for the cheese class Molly signed us up for: Old World Wines and New World Cheeses. We arrived too early for class so we went two doors down to Murray’s Cheese Bar. You can never have too much cheese.
I plan to do a whole post about this experience, but for now, know I highly recommend Murray’s classes.
After a little nap at home, Molly, Meg and I grabbed dinner at Sweetwater before playing a bit of skee ball at Charleston.
Watch out for Molly – she’s a total skee ball hustler.
And how was your weekend?
Molly has circus blood so hustling is as natural to her as breathing is to us…
Why didn’t I think of that?!
Hooray! I had such a fabulous time!!! And yes, I’m a hustler – it’s in my nature hahaha : )
Silly, silly me. PS cheese!
Cheese!!!!
