I have wanted to feature Ashley Spivey here for a long time.
It was Ashley’s appearance on Brad’s second season as The Bachelor that introduced the world to her Southern accent and quick wit. Her tweets keep us laughing (except when they’re about books in which case they’re super useful in building a Good Reads list) and her Instagrams give us little peeks into her life in NYC and travels beyond.
OneChicklette: Your favorite qualities in a love interest
@AshleySpivey: A big personality, a bigger heart, and a huge sense of humor.
OneChicklette: Your chief characteristic (one word)
@AshleySpivey: I’m very social.
OneChicklette: What you appreciate most in your friends
@AshleySpivey: My best friends understand that I’m horrible with the phone or any type of correspondence but they love me anyway.
OneChicklette: Your idea of happiness
@AshleySpivey: Rainy Sundays in bed with Steve and Jackson (our dog), watching movies and reading.
OneChicklette: Your idea of misery
@AshleySpivey: Being trapped on the Hampton Jitney beside someone that won’t stop watching/talking about The Kardashians and they have horrible breath.
OneChicklette: Your favorite fictional character
@AshleySpivey: Clementine Kruczynski from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
OneChicklette: Your favorite thing to eat, and also to drink
@AshleySpivey: My favorite food in the world is a foot long hot dog and fries from Wiener Works in Fayetteville, NC.
I’m assuming you mean alcoholic drink – I’m a vodka soda with a splash of lime type of girl. However, if you didn’t mean alcoholic; up until the age of 19, the only thing I drank was Mountain Dew. I wish I were kidding.
OneChicklette: Five tangible things you can’t live without
@AshleySpivey: Books, dry shampoo, blistex lip medex chapstick, lotion (dry feet and hands creep me out), and xanax.
OneChicklette: What’s the number one item on your bucket list? (question via @SaraLang)
@AshleySpivey: Is it crazy for me to say that I don’t have a bucket list? My greatest fear in life is to have all these goals or things that I want to do and then I die before I can do them.
I don’t want my last thoughts to be how I was a failure or I didn’t get to climb that mountain (which I never want to do, btw). Instead, I think I have an anti-bucket list – things I have absolutely no interest in doing. I never want to run any sort of marathon, climb a mountain, or do a cross-country trip in an RV.
@OneChicklette: This is my favorite answer. I get it.
@OneChicklette: Who do you know via social media that you’re dying to meet in real life? (this question came via @floridagirlindc)
@AshleySpivey: CHRISSY TEIGEN
OneChicklette: I have met her and she is worth the hype.
@OneChicklette: What is your most under appreciated tweet? (this question came via @MikeKelton)
@AshleySpivey: Probably anything I tweet about Berly. My instagram base gets how much I love the kid. My twitter feed could care less.
OneChicklette: A question I should ask the next participant
@AshleySpivey: What three words would you use to describe the last three months of your life?
OneChicklette: Random shout out
@AshleySpivey: Special shout out to Jenna Burke, Jaclyn Swartz, Rachel Truehart, and Jen Peros.
