I’m nesting, but I am not pregnant. Got that? Blame January.
The only thing I’m expecting is a sofa table which I purchased after two years of looking and which has just shipped from Austin. CANNOT WAIT.
But now I want everything. I want my apartment to look nice. Complete.
Recently my focus is on the walls. I had to take down the Dubois mirrors which were propped-versus-hung in my bedroom. More pics from my apartment here and here and here.
I ordered some photo rails from Ikea, for starters and have been digging around for inspiration.

It’s a great time to do indoor projects like that! I’m touching up paint here and there in the house, and mulling over choices to personalize my kitchen. (We moved here in August)
It isn’t just me! 🙂 I asked my super for touch up paint and instead when I got home that night, I found he had painted my whole apartment. He’s so great.

No, it’s not just you. I think because we spend more time inside in winter, we feel the need to make our homes that much more appealing.
Apartment Therapy and Ikea Hackers sites take up way too much of my time. I want one of everything don’t have enough rooms or space to make it work.
Oof, all of this is so great. I had just nested really hard in my Jersey apartment, finally felt like it was home, physically, & was so comfortable in it (plus a great collage wall!). I moved back to D.C. in November, into a tiny studio, & I don’t have a couch or enough furniture or anything, really, & it feels so sad & barren. And I can’t afford to nest right now! Ughhh, let me live vicariously through you, please? 🙂

Hmm, I like the first one I think! I’m nesting too – at the moment, it’s -13 outside so I’ve decided I’m only venturing out in case of emergency (or work, grudgingly). I’m not actually doing anything inside though – well, with the exception that I hung up a calendar the other day that had been sitting on my table since December… does that count?? 😉
