Once again, NYC got a beautiful weekend after a week of less-than-stellar weather. It was gorgeous. The Linden trees are blooming.

On Friday, I made good on my promise to see Obvious Child. Adrienne joined me for a showing at Nitehawk Cinema, which I love. As Abby told me, this movie was SO great. I need to see it again.

Star Jenny Slate is utterly charming (even when her character is completely oversharing) and I keep quoting lines from the movie.

After the movie, we ducked into Skinny Dennis, lured by the sounds of a live band. We also played Ms. Pac Man which now costs $2…?!!

On Saturday, I took the train to Long Island for a college friend’s BBQ. It was a fun afternoon of catching up, kids running around, good food and drink.

I also did some reading.

This book. I’m loving it.
