It’s like Spotify is trying to get me fired

I listen to Spotify most days at work. The app messed with my work computer so I deleted it and now use my iPad or phone to listen instead.

But I may need to re-jigger that because…

Spotify And…

Spotify, are you trying to get me fired? Or maybe just talked about in whispers? Jeez.

Update (3/25/2015): this popped up on the Spotify app today.

Twitter Spotlight: Samy K

When I listened to the Kane Show on Hot 99.5 during the years I lived in DC, I never thought I would have the chance to feature The one-and-only Samy in the Twitter Spotlight.

But then I connected with Sarah Fraser and fell in friend-love with her while she lived in the NYC area. Sarah has since moved back to DC where she has returned to the radio via 107.3 FM’s Sarah, Ty and Mel Show. And guess who recently joined the fun? Yep, Samy.

Why did you put that on Tinder? Why are you even on Tinder?!

I blame Eliza for inspiring me to get on Tinder (not really). But it’s my own fault for sticking with it. I find the app so thoroughly entertaining.

OK, most of the time I don’t mean entertaining but horrifying (NSFW), but you get the idea.

Actors, their parents and nudity

Watching Orange is the New Black, I couldn’t help but think “do the actors’ parents watch?”

I assume that if you’re Taylor Schilling or Laura Prepon, you’re so excited to be doing quality work on a well-written project like OITNB that it’s not your first concern. But then you’re shooting a shower scene, and both of you are topless. Then what?

It depends on the family, obviously, but with my parents, I just cringe thinking about nudity. Sometimes it inhibits what I write too.

How crummy to try to make it in television and film–with or without the support of family–only to get cast but have reservations about said family seeing your complete work!

Amanda Seyfried, who is currently promoting her film Lovelace, had this to say in US Weekly.

AmandaWhat do you think? If you were an actor, how would you deal?

I can relate.

The funniest thing I have seen all week

I get a gazillion emails per week from Fab.com. That may be an exaggeration but not by much.

A project I work on periodically does Fab sales so I feel a need to keep up with what they’re selling.

When I received an email about Male Landscapes and Andy Warhol, I had a giggling fit. I couldn’t tell you why.

The pictures made matters worse:

Fab

Maybe it was thoughts of modern manscaping and wondering what ol’ Andy would think of that trend if he were alive today.

The sale ends on June 22 so as a parting gift, I’m giving you some NSFW screen shots below just in case you don’t check out the sale in time.

Last warning: wieners involved.

The strangest web site you will see today, guaranteed #nsfw

I have been trying to determine why a post about Ryan Gosling several months ago is generating a spectacular amount of traffic to my little blog.

Instead, I found this web site. I’m not suggesting you click the link. The site is most definitely NOT SAFE FOR WORK. I repeat NSFW. This post is not an endorsement.

I do, however, wish for someone to share my pain having viewed it so if you do visit the site, please let me know in the comments so we can commiserate and share sentiments like “OMG, NO.”
