When I listened to the Kane Show on Hot 99.5 during the years I lived in DC, I never thought I would have the chance to feature The one-and-only Samy in the Twitter Spotlight.
But then I connected with Sarah Fraser and fell in friend-love with her while she lived in the NYC area. Sarah has since moved back to DC where she has returned to the radio via 107.3 FM’s Sarah, Ty and Mel Show. And guess who recently joined the fun? Yep, Samy.

During my six years commuting from downtown DC to suburban Virginia for work, I often tuned into The Kane Show on Hot 99.5 FM.
Each morning, the show covered news of the weird, current affairs and yes, some music was played. I always enjoyed hearing what Sarah Fraser had to say–and always wondered how she remained cheerful and such a great sport through a ton of teasing at the hands of the mostly-male crew including during a break-up with the boyfriend they all referred to as “Old Man Ed.”

Recently Sarah announced that after six years, she’s leaving the show to move to NYC to pursue her dream of hosting a talk show. The pilot for her show Hey Frase will premiere here on February 11 at 10 pm ET.
